2. What protection designs are implemented on the OBU-301x ?

All I/O and power pins are protected according to CE EMC standard EN 301489-1

  • Reverse voltage protection: reverse polarity protection (a test item in ISO-16750-2) is already implemented in current design.
  • Over voltage protection: PMIC voltage clamping at 53V, with TVS and MOV for high energy ESD/surge protection.
  • 12/24V: OBU-301 provides 7-48V wide power input range. 12V or 24V power can be used directly without any detection/configuration.
